Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave PCB’s

To meet the increasing demands of our customers for radio frequency (RF) & Microwave Printed Circuit Boards, we have created the capability to address these needs & become a world class PCB manufacturer using high frequency laminates. These applications typically involve laminates with specialized electrical, thermal, mechanical, in addition to other performance characteristics. With our varied experience with printed circuit board fabrication, we ensure the high reliability and tight tolerance requirements that these applications demand.

Given the demanding features associated with each PCB application, we have developed partnerships with the major material suppliers such as Rogers, Arlon, and Nelco and our inventory While many of the materials are very specialized, we do hold significant stock of product in our warehouse from Rogers (4003 & 4350 series) and Arlon.

Features

  • Close etch tolerances on critical RF features
  • Back drill for precision stub removal
  • Conductive, nonconductive, and partial hole fill options
  • Surface finishes include ENIG, ENEPIG, Hard and soft wire bondable gold, Immersion Silver
  • Assembly & Testing capabilities for the boards that includes 6 Network analyzers with combined frequency sweep coverage of 50 MHz to 40 GHz & custom anechoic boxes for antenna measurements

Standards

Our extensive experience with a wide range of laminates and material systems, coupled with out state-of-art manufacturing capabilities enable us to produce PCBs that meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-31032, AS 9100, ITAR, IPC 6012, IPC6018 & NADCAP.

Materials

RF materials are usually some combination of PTFE, ceramics, hydrocarbon and various forms of glass reinforcements. Typical materials included PTFE with micro glass fiber or woven glass, ceramic-filled PTFE, FR4, etc.
